JED 2025
The Doctoral School Days 397 (JED 397) is an annual event organised by the representatives of the doctoral students and which brings together between 150 and 200 1st, 2nd and 3rd year doctoral students at the Cordeliers site of Sorbonne University.
These two days are composed of a series of oral presentations in English and poster sessions by 3rd year PhD students, as well as invited lectures and a round table. The aim of these days is to prepare 3rd year doctoral students to present their thesis project in English in a synthetic manner to a non-expert audience via a 10 minute presentation or a poster.
These days are an opportunity to gather the community of physicists and chemists of materials of Sorbonne University and are open to the PhD students of the ED and their supervisors as well as to the students of the masters of physics and chemistry of SU and of the Schools of engineering of Paris centre.
The 397 Doctoral School Days Prizes (for oral presentations and posters) are awarded during a festive event that closes these two days.
